these terms govern your access to and use of the Kairo mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "services"). by using the services, you agree to be bound by these terms. if you do not agree, please do not use the services.
acceptance of terms
by accessing or using the services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or have parental or guardian consent, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
changes to terms
we may update these terms from time to time. changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. your continued use of the services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. we will notify you of significant changes within the app.
use of services
you agree to use the services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. you shall not:
use the services for any fraudulent or malicious purpose.
interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the services.
attempt to gain unauthorised access to the services or related systems.
reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the app.
user accounts
Kairo does not require account creation to use the app. an anonymous identifier is generated locally on your device. if account features are introduced in future, you will be asked to provide accurate information and maintain the confidentiality of your credentials.
subscriptions and payments
Kairo offers a 7-day free trial followed by an auto-renewable subscription. subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple's in-app purchase system. we never process or store your payment information directly.
monthly plan: $12.99/month after the free trial.
annual plan: $99.99/year after the free trial.
you may cancel at any time through your Apple account settings. cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
intellectual property
all content, features, and functionality of the services - including text, graphics, the Kairo name, the sphere mark, and underlying software - are owned by STEADY LABS (PTY) LTD or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. you may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
ai-generated content
Kairo uses AI to generate personalised recommendations and responses. this content is provided for self-development purposes only and does not constitute medical, psychological, or professional advice. you use AI-generated content at your own discretion.
privacy
your use of the services is governed by our privacy policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. by using the services, you consent to our data practices as described there.
third-party services
the services integrate with third-party providers including Supabase, Mixpanel, RevenueCat, and Anthropic. your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. we do not assume responsibility for third-party conduct or content.
disclaimer of warranties
the services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. we do not guarantee that the services will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
limitation of liability
to the fullest extent permitted by law, STEADY LABS (PTY) LTD and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the services.
indemnification
you agree to indemnify and hold harmless STEADY LABS (PTY) LTD, its affiliates, and its personnel from any claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising out of your use of the services or your violation of these terms.
termination
we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
governing law
these terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa.
